We took to the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain to record some readings and discussions.

A short interview with our Guyanese writers Scott Ting-a-Kee and Kevin Garbaran
Scott and Kevin chose Proem by the Guyanese Writer Martin Carter. Kevin read it for us.
This is a slow, reflective reading of Proem. It was inspired by the technique of Lectio Divina, and an experience Vahni had with the Franciscans at the Oratory of St Alphege in Southward. The idea is to read slowly and thoughtfully, immersing fully in what is being read. We each took a line, raised a leaf when we finished and the next reader took it up. Once the poem was completed we each chose a phrase that moved us. No explanation, just contemplation.
